Rancho La Esmeralda (on maps as Las Borregas) has partnered with Sky Island Alliance (with funding from the US Fish and Wildlife Service ) to restore and improve riparian habitat on the ranch for neo-tropical migratory birds as part of the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act of 2013. Stream Dynamics is being contracted to run the restoration component of the project.

This projet will be monitored for improvents in bird populations, as well as vegetation recovery.
